This week the Chicks celebrated World Book Day. The children a range of activities related to famous stories including ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘The Three Little Pigs’. They retold stories using story bags and made up stories using the Story Spoons.
The children had the opportunity to bring in their favourite stories throughout the week and we loved reading these together during Snack Time and Circle Time. The Role Play area was set up as a Theatre this week and the children had great fun dressing up as their favourite story characters. But the highlight of the week was definitely celebrating World Book Day on Thursday. Each child and all the teachers came dressed up as their favourite book character to school. During the morning the Chicks proudly demonstrated their costumes and presented their favourite stories. What a great fun day!
